I'm born and bred in Manchester and currently based here, but work all over the UK. I gained a good education in the suburbs and I originally began actor training in my early 20's. Around this time,I hit upon hard times with addiction and homelessness, before bouncing back to work in the NHS, supporting others with similar issues and re-starting my actor training in my late twenties at Manchester School of Theatre(MMU), graduating in 2013.
An actor, biker, mental health professional, writer and all round lover of cats, I'm a versatile character actor, with particular skill in comedy. I have played a wide range of parts in my early career, from a one-eyed Hungarian communist in OFFIE nominated "A Bright Room Called Day" at Southwark Playhouse; to a cross-dressing Richard Branson; to a singing, dancing tram conductor in recent site-specific piece "Tram" on Manchester's Metrolink.I tend to play out of the ordinary characters - a cockney national front psycho, a twisted loner who preys on vulnerable wome and force feeds them, a murderous plumber who just wants a good cup of tea! I am talented with accents and enjoy characters to get the teeth into.I am represented by Jane Hollowood
Aside from acting, my other interests include science and nature, history, literature, supporting Manchester United (sorry folks!), walking in the countryside and riding my big shiny motorbike around said countryside, thereby annoying the rest of you. I also enjoy travel and learning; you are just as, if not more likely to catch me in front of a good documentary by Attenborough, Brian Cox or Simon Schama as watching drama!
